Theme: Prehensile-tailed Skinks by Scott Alexander
Scott will be discussing the ecology, husbandry, and evolutionary adaptations of the unique Solomon Island Prehensile tailed skink. Scott has been keeping these for 30+ years and finds them to be long-lived, fascinating lizards full of personality and character.
These slow-moving gnomes of the tropical rainforest canopy are both the largest species of skink and the slowest reproducing lizard in the world (doesn't really make a great breeding project).
